I am 100% confident we wouldn’t have ended up with our camp had it not been for Lisa.
We started working with Lisa a few years before our little gem came on the market. Throughout those years Lisa was kind, attentive, helpful and we always left Lisa feeling like she was treating us like family. Her knowledge and connections in the Chazy Lake and Chateaugay Lake area allowed us to get a showing and ultimately purchase our little dream. We are so thankful to Lisa and LaPoint Realty.
Judy LaPoint was born, raised and was a lifetime resident of Chazy Lake. She developed a successful career in Real Estate with Lakeland Equites, under the tutelage of her mentor Dan Waldron, learning the specifics of selling lakefront property in the Adirondacks.
Following Dan’s retirement, she went on to obtain her Brokers license and opened her own real estate agency LaPoint Realty Inc, a small family business that included working with her children, her grandson-in-law and sister. LaPoint Realty has been working successfully with buyers and sellers since 2008.
She was a very active member of Chazy Lake Environmental Committee. She was a strong advocate for the protection and preservation of Chazy Lake and co-authored a book called Lake Fiction and Folklore- The History of Chazy Lake. In honor of her memory, $6,000 was raised and donated to the Chazy Lake Watershed Initiative.
She lived her whole life on Chazy Lake with her daughter Lisa, son in-law Todd and granddaughters Kristen, Jason, baby Jackson Kayla and Ethan. Although she called Chazy Lake home, she also spent many summers at Greenwood Stables on Chateauguay Lake. Her husband George also lived in Chateauguay Lake, so they were blessed to have loved and lived on both lakes.
One of her favorite sayings was …
“If you’re lucky enough to live on a lake, you are lucky enough!”
